Trinity Trails is the official walking tour of Trinity College Dublin. While many Dublin tours highlight our historic university, only Trinity Trails is led by knowledgeable and welcoming Trinity students and alumni who bring centuries of history to life. The tour takes approximately 45 minutes. There are typically three tours per day, at 10:30, 12:30 and 15:30.

The Trinity Trails walking tour covers key locations within the Trinity College Dublin campus.

The tour starts in Front Square, where visitors are introduced to the history of the university and its main buildings.

It includes a visit to the Museum Building, where participants can enter and view the interior.

The tour ends outside the Old Library.

Please note: Entry to the Book of Kells exhibition and the Old Library is not included in this tour. However, visitors can choose a combined ticket that includes both the walking tour and the Book of Kells Experience at a reduced rate.

The Trinity Trails tour is fully guided and led by a Trinity College student. Group sizes are a maximum of 25 participants, giving you the chance to chat with your guide and ask questions throughout the tour.

Guides are knowledgeable about the university’s rich history and famous past students, and are happy to share insights along the way.

The tour costs €16.00 per adult. A family ticket (two adults and two children) costs €50.00.
