Heritage Trinity Campus

Hamilton Conference Centre

About the venue

Named in honour of Sir William Rowan Hamilton, Ireland’s greatest mathematician, the Hamilton Conference Centre is a destination for the best and brightest academic minds in the world, and it can also be a unique destination for your next event.

Found at the east end of the campus, the centre is conveniently close to the Trinity Business School and just a short walk from Pearse Street train station. The exterior’s minimalist modern architecture reveals a bright and welcoming interior, with its light-filled hall lined with lecture theatres. Each one is named after some of the distinguished people who have added their chapter to the story of Trinity College Dublin, including JM Synge, George Salmon, Constantina Maxwell and John Joly.

The theatres, with capacities from 66 up to 300, can be booked for events or conferences outside of the academic term and have direct access to the central hall, which is ideal for registration or break-out meetings.

The Hamilton Conference Centre really is a hidden gem on our campus. If you would like further information about it, and the range of events we can host there, you can contact one of our team by filling out the enquiry form below, sending an email to events@tcd.ie, or by calling us on 01 8964477.
