The 1592

Recently refurbished, The 1592 restaurant in Trinity College Dublin strikes the perfect balance between style and comfort. Named in honour of the year Trinity was founded by Queen Elizabeth I, The 1592 is enjoyed by the academic community and visitors to the campus alike. Its contemporary feel and d├ęcor, with original historical features alongside a stunning collection of artworks, create an idyllic haven at the heart of the campus.

It is the ideal setting for smaller lunches, press launches, briefings, receptions, private meals or meetings and 45 people can be accommodated for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a reception. Our banqueting staff will impress your guests by delivering delicious menus focused on showcasing locally sourced Irish food with a modern twist.

Ideally located, adjacent to the Dining Hall, off the Front Square, your guests can be entertained in the restaurant, while two separate private dining or meeting rooms, each with a capacity of 14 are available to complement your event.

The 1592 really is one of our most beautiful and popular spaces to host a small event.
