Book of Kells and Campus Tour Highlights

Your ticket includes admission to the Book of Kells and Old Library, where your tour guide will leave you after your guided campus tour is complete.
Stepping into the Old Library, is an awe-inspiring experience, which includes a close up look at 1,200 year old Book of Kells and access to the Long Room which is known as one of the world’s most beautiful libraries.

Saturday – Sunday: The Berkeley Library (inside the front door on the left)
The Book of Kells and Old Library (which you will enter after your campus tour) is fully wheelchair accessible. If you plan on visiting with a wheelchair, please reach out in advance by emailing us at: trinitytrails@tcd.ie.
Photographs are permitted in the Book of Kells Exhibition and in the Long Room. However, flash photography is not permitted in the Old Library.
Photos of the Book of Kells itself are not permitted.
Getting to Trinity
• Ask for Trinity College, College Green entrance. Cost €30.
Bus
• The Aircoach leaves Dublin airport every 15min, 24 hours a day. Cost: €9
• Ask to be dropped off at Kildare Street. Walk towards Nassau Street and take the Nassau street entrance of Trinity College opposite KC Peaches/Costa Coffee.
• Ask for Trinity College, College Green entrance. Cost: €15.
By tram:
• Head to the Connolly LUAS stop or the Bus Aras LUAS stop
• Buy a ticket to Trinity. Cost €3
• You will need to switch from the RED LUAS line to the GREEN LUAS line at the Abbey Street LUAS stop.
• Ask for Trinity College, College Green entrance. Cost: €15.
By tram:
• Head to Hueston LUAS stop.
• Buy a ticket to Trinity. Cost €3
• You will need to switch from the RED LUAS line to the GREEN LUAS line at the Abbey Street LUAS stop.
