Show your true colours at the Book of Kells Creative Competition 2020!
We are proud to announce our third annual Book of Kells Creative Competition, which invites artists and writers of all ages to submit a work inspired by the famed book. This year, contestants are asked to share art and writing that evoke the range of beautiful colours featured in the Book of Kells, the 9th century masterpiece renowned for its rich, colourful decoration.
There are competition categories for adults as well as primary and secondary level students, with winners receiving an individual cash prize and a cash prize for their arts club or school if applicable. Winners will also be honoured at the annual Book of Kells Creative Competition awards ceremony, hosted at Trinity College and will receive a VIP tour of the Book of Kells exhibition on the night.
The Book of Kells exhibition has now reopened following a brief hiatus, so entrants can once again be inspired by the book’s beautiful hues up close and personal – and with striking shades of blue, green, white and pink throughout, a wealth of inspiration awaits.
With a tradition of creative thinking spanning more than four centuries, Trinity is a fitting venue to showcase your creativity this Autumn. We hope you can join us!
